Invisible Wounds

Unhealed scars from what happened (or didn’t happen) to you. Wounds that no one else can see but you feel every single day. These wounds shape how you show up at work, in your relationships, & when you’re alone with your thoughts.

Whispering that you’re not good enough, making you second-guess yourself, and feel alone in a room full of people. Until you heal them, they will keep you stuck in patterns of overworking, overthinking, & feeling like you’re too much or never enough.

Invisible wounds are from:

Birth Trauma

Bullying

Death & Loss

Diet Culture

Divorce

Infidelity

Family Secrets

Lost Relationships

Sexual Abuse & Assault

Self Harm

Sudden Endings

Unwanted Pregnancy

Invisible wounds do not get better with time.

You want to feel normal like everyone else. Life seems easier for others. You’ve tried new programs, followed the experts, but it always ends the same—overwhelmed, frustrated, and giving up halfway. You feel trapped in a loop of mediocrity and embarrassment, confused by the intensity and persistence of your awful mood. You know something isn’t right.

Your mind feels out of control. You can’t remember the last time you read a book without your thoughts racing ahead with their own priorities. Answering emails or texts feels impossible—your thoughts race while you stare at the message, frozen. You want to respond, but an invisible force holds you back, and instead, you scroll mindlessly through social media, not absorbing what you’re seeing.

You’re standing on a threshold, waiting for permission to feel good enough. You contort yourself into molds that were never built for you—forcing your body, mind, and spirit in the desperate hope of finally fitting in.

What you are missing in your journey to being “good enough” is unpacking all of the ways that you have been made to feel less than and not enough.

The problem you are dealing with didn’t start overnight, it didn’t even begin with you. It’s part of a much bigger issue of living as a woman in 2025 in a culture that prizes work, money, and material possessions over families, peace, and healthy communities.

Even though we know better and have the data & common sense to do better by our families and ourselves.

You might not be able to change the culture but you can change how you exist in it.

This is where I can help. During therapy with me, you you will learn the tools, knowledge, and information so you can thrive. In our therapy sessions, you will carve a new path for yourself out of the corner you feel trapped in.

You might be thinking that therapy isn’t for someone like you. Or that you’ve been there and done that.

My clients, before they came to see me, worried that therapy wasn’t for them too. They worried therapy would make things so much worse or patronizing just like when they were younger. My clients were right to be hesitant about trying therapy again. Therapy is different with me.

Therapy will help you learn how to cope with the unmanageable, connect you to your values, and create a life that works for you.

If you are ready to find your confidence while you carve a new path for yourself , therapy can help you.

In therapy you will…

Find your own confidence without constant doubt, second guessing, or needing approval.

Create a loving relationship with your own body so you stop caring about the number on the scale or size of your pants.

Find new ways to handle stress and heartbreak that don’t leave you embarrassed and disappointed in yourself.

Become the woman that your 8-year-old self would look up to and want as their cool aunt.

My name is Nikole. I’m a licensed therapist & I help women learn about and heal from their invisible wounds.
